Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Busser/Food Runner and become an essential part of delivering exceptional guest experiences! In this lively role, you’ll support the front-of-house team by maintaining a clean and inviting dining environment, efficiently running food from the kitchen to tables, and ensuring our guests receive prompt and friendly service. Your energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your hospitality skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Clear and reset tables swiftly, ensuring cleanliness and organization to prepare for new guests
Assist with food running by delivering dishes from the kitchen to tables accurately and promptly
Support servers with bussing duties, including removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware
Maintain cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing as needed
Handle food safely during transportation, practicing proper manual handling and safe lifting techniques for heavy trays or equipment
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow
Support in food preparation tasks when required, adhering to food safety standards and hygiene protocols

Qualifications

Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and proper cleaning techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices
Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members
Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory
Familiarity with banquet service or large event settings is advantageous
Demonstrated commitment to guest services, hospitality standards, and in-person customer service excellence
