Full Job Description

Moorefield Construction Inc. has been in business for over 65 years, performing commercial construction of large retail centers, theaters and entertainment complexes, casinos, hotels, and a variety of other commercial projects, including work on tribal projects. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Project Accountant with a strong background in construction accounting.

This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with experience in Sage 300/Timberline, Timberscan, and Procore. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects and working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable invoices, including subcontractor billings and general conditions
Prepare and track accounts receivable, including AIA owner billings and supporting documentation
Manage preliminary notices and lien releases
Ensure contract compliance, including tracking insurance, licenses, and required documentation
Process and track project-related tax requirements, including sales tax and use tax considerations
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding billing and payment status
Maintain accurate project financial records in Sage 300/Timberline

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of construction accounting experience
Proficiency in Sage 300/Timberline and Timberscan (Procore experience preferred)
Experience with AIA billing and construction accounts payable/receivable
Knowledge of lien releases, preliminary notices, and contract compliance requirements
Experience working on tribal projects and familiarity with tax-exempt construction environments strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Ability to build positive working relationships with subcontractors, clients, and coworkers.

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
