Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time Welder to join our dynamic team. This role involves working in our shop, utilizing a variety of welding techniques to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal (aluminum and stainless steal) components. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for quality craftsmanship. You will play a vital role in ensuring that all welding projects meet safety standards and technical specifications, contributing to the successful completion of diverse construction and manufacturing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using a MIG (Metal Inert Gas) Welder
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately execute welding tasks
Measure and mark materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure proper fit-up and alignments
Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, welding, grinding, and assembling parts according to specifications
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, AWS (American Welding Society) standards, ASME codes & standards during all operations
Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and quality control measures taken

Requirements

Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with a focus on metal welding and assembly
Proficiency in MIG welding
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, schematics, and measuring instruments effectively
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication tasks
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards
