Full Job Description

Join our ophthalmology practice serving the San Joaquin & Stanislaus Counties!

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care and are looking for a bilingual medical receptionist to become a valued member of our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer and manage a high volume of incoming phone calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain authorizations, and assist with insurance-related questions.
Prepare and maintain accurate patient charts and electronic medical records.
Communicate with physicians and clinical staff regarding urgent patient concerns and scheduling needs.
Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Assist with opening and closing office procedures, including unlocking and securing the office.
Travel between our office locations as needed to support daily operations.
Provide excellent customer service while assisting patients with questions and ensuring a positive office experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting.
Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems; EPIC experience is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Reliable transportation and the ability to work at any of our office locations as needed.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
