Healthcare Business Development Associate (Remote)

About UTILIS

UTILIS is a healthcare consulting firm that partners with hospitals, physician groups, ambulatory organizations, and healthcare businesses to improve operational performance, execute strategic initiatives, optimize financial performance, and solve complex organizational challenges.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Healthcare Business Development Associate to identify prospective clients, develop relationships with healthcare leaders, and schedule executive meetings for our consulting team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys networking, research, and professional relationship development, and who wants to be rewarded based on the business they help create.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for creating consulting opportunities from the ground up.

You will research healthcare organizations, identify executive decision-makers, initiate outreach through phone, email, and LinkedIn, and develop relationships that result in qualified executive meetings.

Once a meeting is scheduled, our consulting team assumes responsibility for the sales process and client engagement.

Responsibilities

Research hospitals, health systems, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, home health agencies, and other healthcare organizations.
Identify executive decision-makers, including CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Vice Presidents, Practice Administrators, and Executive Directors.
Build prospect lists using publicly available resources and professional networking platforms.
Conduct thoughtful outreach through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn.
Maintain detailed records of outreach activities and conversations.
Schedule qualified meetings with executive decision-makers.
Participate in weekly strategy and coaching meetings.
Continuously improve outreach strategies based on results.

What Success Looks Like

Successful candidates will:

Build a consistent pipeline of qualified healthcare prospects.
Develop professional relationships with healthcare executives.
Generate qualified consulting meetings.
Contribute to consulting engagements that result in long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include one or more of the following:

Experience in healthcare administration or healthcare sales.
Business development, recruiting, account management, or executive outreach experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to research organizations and identify decision-makers independently.
Comfortable speaking with senior executives.
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Able to work independently from a home office.

Healthcare experience is preferred but not required for individuals with strong business development skills.

Compensation

This position is designed for individuals who prefer performance-based earnings rather than a traditional hourly role.

Compensation is tied to measurable business outcomes, including qualified executive meetings, consulting opportunities created, and consulting revenue generated. Top performers have the opportunity to build meaningful recurring income by helping grow the firm's client relationships.
