Hatch Early Learning

Hatch Early Learning is expanding its sales team and seeking high-performing Account Executives with a strong background in early childhood education technology sales and hands-on experience in early childhood education environments.

Hatch delivers innovative PreK–Grade 1 technology solutions that help schools, districts, and Head Start programs improve student outcomes.

Territories

This is a remote, field-based role with significant travel to customer site visits, conferences, and occasional overnight travel.

Candidates must reside within the assigned territory.

· Territory 1: New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ)

· Territory 2: Virginia (VA), Washington, DC, Maryland (MD)

Role Overview

This is a consultative, quota-carrying Account Executive role responsible for:

· Driving new business

· Expanding existing accounts

You will serve as a trusted advisor to educators, aligning Hatch’s solutions to instructional goals, funding sources (Title I, Head Start, state initiatives), and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Execution & Territory Management

· Own and grow a defined territory by driving new business while expanding relationships within existing customer accounts

· Achieve assigned revenue and quota targets

· Develop and execute a strategic territory sales plan

· Strategically manage and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline

Full-Cycle Sales

· Execute full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing

· Conduct in-depth discovery to align solutions to district goals and funding sources

· Qualify leads and either manage or partner through the entire sales lifecycle

· Participate in campaigns, call efforts, and marketing programs to generate pipeline

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

· Build trusted, consultative relationships with educators and decision-makers

· Sell to multiple stakeholders across levels (district leaders, program directors, educators)

· Maintain and grow existing customer relationships

· Deliver ongoing communication regarding new products and product updates

· Represent Hatch at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events

Industry Expertise

· Develop deep expertise in:

o Hatch products and services

o Early childhood education environments

o Curriculum, classroom, and regulatory contexts

o Stay informed on competitive landscape and industry trends

Collaboration & Internal Partnership

· Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Sales teams to drive growth and retention

· Communicate regularly with leadership and internal stakeholders

· Channel customer feedback to improve product and experience

Operational Excellence

· Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in HubSpot

· Ensure timely follow-up on all sales communications

· Maintain accurate forecasting and documentation

Required Experience

· 3–5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in early childhood education technology; experience selling to Districts, Childcare organizations preferred

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements

· Proven success in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles

· Direct experience working within or alongside early childhood education settings and curriculum

· Regulatory and compliance contexts

· Funding and procurement processes (Title I, Head Start, etc.)

· Demonstrated track record of:

o New business generation

o Pipeline management

o Consistent quota attainment

o Relationship building

· Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Experience

· Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC)

· Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot

Education

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)

Compensation

Compensation is dependent on experience (DOE)

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
