Full Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Wok Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our customers with their taste and timely delivery and/or prep necessary items to assist in the preparation of menu items.

Responsibilities

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment. Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Prepare, season, and cook/stir fry in woks a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for consumption according to brand recipe standards.
Cook, prepare, and arranges the food to make an appealing arrangement for guests.
Cook specialty foods, under constant pressure to prepare meals quickly, while ensuring quality is maintained.
Handles all allergy and/or dietary restrictions and modifications.
Accurately follows all orders received from the POS system and/or direction from the expeditor.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
Possess in-depth knowledge of assigned recipes with the ability to execute them to company standard.
Communicates product needs to the chefs and the support staff.
Properly sets-up station and performs opening/closing procedures as assigned by management.
Understand safe food and equipment handling.
Understand and follow all BOH standards for safety and cleanliness. · Report any unsafe working conditions to management.
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.

Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
Be a team player.

Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Skills

Must be a certified Food Handler in respective state
Must have 1-2 years of proven experience being a Wok Cook in a fast-paced environment
Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
Must be able to work Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shifts
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
Ability to work in a team
Very good communication skills
Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
