Overview
We are a cannabis company serving consumers throughout the state and are committed to producing high-quality cannabis products while maintaining rigorous compliance with state and federal regulations. We're looking for an enthusiastic, people-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and grow with us. In this role, you'll work closely with our HR Manager to support the day-to-day functions of the HR department — from helping bring great people onto the team to ensuring employees feel supported throughout their time with us. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who is eager to learn, organized, and genuinely cares about people

This full-time position offers a starting pay of $20/hour with opportunities for career advancement and professional development within the cannabis and human resources industries. This position is full time, in person. Please do not apply if those features do not work for you, we cannot accept any candidates who cannot be full time or in person.

Duties

Assist with posting job openings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
Support new hire orientation and onboarding to help employees get off to a great start.
Help administer employee benefits, leave requests, and time-off tracking, answering basic questions and routing complex ones to the HR Manager.
Maintain accurate employee records and assist with HR data entry and reporting.
Assist in ensuring company policies and practices are followed consistently and fairly.
Help coordinate employee recognition, morale, and engagement initiatives.
Support compliance with federal and state employment laws under the guidance of the HR Manager.
Participate in HR-related meetings, including onboardings, disciplinary meetings, and terminations as needed.
Pitch in on a variety of HR tasks and projects as the department's needs evolve.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required, in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
At least one year of human resource management experience is preferred.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Experience with any HR systems also a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
