Full Job Description

Summary :

The part-time Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately picking, preparing packaging, and staging for shipment of customer stock orders. This position supports warehouse operations by loading and unloading delivery trucks, moving and staging materials, maintaining accurate shipment information, and meeting daily shipping deadlines. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is expected to work dependably and independently with minimal supervision while following all safety, quality, and company procedures

Essential duties :

Pick, pack, and prepare customer stock orders accurately from warehouse shelves.
Verify order details, quantities, packaging, labels, and shipment documentation before orders are released for shipment.
Package materials appropriately to protect product integrity during storage and transportation.
Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently as needed.
Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move, stage, stack, load, and unload materials.
Use basic computer skills to review inventory records, enter or confirm shipment information, and print shipping labels and related documents.
Organize and stage completed orders to support carrier pickup schedules and daily shipping deadlines.
Work independently, prioritize assigned tasks, and remain productive without constant supervision.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and shipping area.
Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, equipment concerns, or shipment issues to management promptly.
Assist with additional shipping, receiving inventory, and warehouse duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse practices.
Enforce Human Resource and Safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform other duties, as requested, directed, or assigned.

Schedule:

Regular shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week, not to exceed 36 hours per week
Initial onboarding and job training will occur during daytime hours; specific training hours will be assigned as needed
Additional hours may be required to support workload needs and provide coverage during employee vacations or absences. (not to exceed 36 hours per week)
Consistent and reliable attendance is required to meet daily shipping deadlines.

Employment and Growth Opportunity:

This is a part-time position with a regular evening schedule.
Additional hours may be available when covering employee vacations, absences, or operational needs.
The position may provide an opportunity to transition to full-time employment based on performance, attendance, business needs, and the availability of a suitable opening.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One to three years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or order preparation experience preferred.
Prior experience operating a sit-down forklift is highly preferred.
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain company-required forklift qualification.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to review inventory information, enter data, and print shipping documentation and labels.
Ability to read and interpret customer orders, packing information, labels, and basic warehouse documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, remain on task, organize work, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to communicate clearly and work cooperatively with warehouse shipping, customer service, and other departments.
Outstanding attendance judgment, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
