Evin at Oconomowoc Senior Living | Oconomowoc, WI

Evin at Oconomowoc is an 80-unit senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our culinary team and help create an exceptional dining experience for our residents.

Shift Schedule:

Morning shifts: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Afternoon shifts: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
A combination of both shift types will be required.

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals while ensuring resident satisfaction and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment. This position works closely with the Culinary Manager and oversees kitchen operations in their absence.

Essential Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and serve a variety of hot and cold meals.
Accommodate special dietary requirements as needed.
Assist the Culinary Manager with menu planning and special event preparation.
Ensure safe food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards are consistently followed.
Collaborate with dining staff to meet residents' needs and ensure efficient meal service.
Help dining staff understand menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs.
Promote resident satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and interacting with residents.
Support team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
Ability to communicate effectively with and respect the needs of seniors.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
