Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Body Shop Manager to lead our automotive repair and restoration team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of auto body repair, and a comprehensive understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure quality standards, and deliver exceptional service to our customers in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all activities within the body shop, including auto body repair, painting, and restoration projects
Manage a team of technicians, mechanics, and detailers to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship
Oversee vehicle repairs from initial assessment through final detailing, ensuring adherence to safety standards and customer specifications
Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies such as hand tools, power tools, auto glass, and other equipment necessary for repairs
Ensure proper use of heavy lifting equipment and safe handling of vehicles during repairs
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to guarantee customer satisfaction
Schedule work orders efficiently to meet deadlines and optimize productivity
Maintain compliance with environmental regulations related to auto painting and hazardous materials management
Provide technical guidance on complex repairs including auto restoration, auto painting, mechanic work, and automotive repair tasks

Requirements

Proven experience in dealership or auto body shop management with a strong background in auto body repair and vehicle maintenance
Extensive knowledge of automotive repair processes including auto painting, auto glass installation, detailing, and auto restoration
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques required for vehicle repairs
Mechanical knowledge combined with mechanic experience preferred
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication skills for coordinating with staff and interacting with customers
Prior experience dealing with dealership operations or similar automotive environments is highly desirable

This position is integral to maintaining the reputation of our service center by delivering top-tier vehicle repairs and restorations. We seek a dedicated professional committed to excellence in automotive repair management.

Pay: $58,954.97 - $100,000.00 per year
